BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The world’s No. 1 graphite iron shafts, SteelFiber graphite iron shafts by Aerotech Golf delivered more Top 10s this weekend on the PGA and Champions Tours.
Playing SteelFiber i95 irons in his irons, a six-time PGA Tour winner shot a 10-under par (278) for a T8 finish at the CIMB Classic. Meanwhile, a former World No. 1 player with 57 professional wins, including the 1992 Masters Tournament, played SteelFiber i110s in his irons for a T7 at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on the Champions Tour.
“We’re very excited with the continued success of our SteelFiber graphite iron shafts on both the PGA and Champions Tours,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. “SteelFiber shafts combine the performance characteristics of graphite shafts that gives greater vibration dampening and reduces player fatigue, while also providing the consistency they typically expect with steel. This is game-changing innovation that benefits players of all skill levels.”
Last season, players using SteelFiber graphite iron shafts won seven pro events — five on the PGA TOUR and two on the Champions Tour. Players with SteelFiber shafts also ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points at the end of the regular season.
