SteelFiber Scores 59 at Wyndham Championship

SteelFiber graphite iron shafts, the No. 1 graphite iron shafts in golf, made golf history this week. Designed and manufactured by Aerotech Golf, SteelFiber shafts scored a 59 during the first round of the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour.

Playing SteelFiber i95 graphite shafts in his irons, the 2012 FedEx Cup champion joined an elite club this week, shooting a 59 at the Wyndham Championship. The 37-year-old pro from Nashville became only the ninth player in PGA Tour history to achieve a sub-60 score. His history-making scorecard showcased 10 birdies and a 176-yard eagle. The other members of the 59 Club include Justin Thomas (2017), Adam Hadwin (2017), Jim Furyk (2016 & 2013), Paul Goydos (2010), Stuart Appleby (2010), David Duval (1999), Chip Beck (1991) and Al Geiberger (1977).

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.
