SteelFiber Scores Third Straight Victory

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — SteelFiber graphite iron shafts, designed and manufactured by Aerotech Golf, delivered their third win in three consecutive tournaments on the LPGA Tour, winning the LPGA Volvik Championship. SteelFiber shafts also collected Top 10 money on the PGA and Champions Tours.

Playing SteelFiber J108 graphite shafts in her irons, the 20-year-old Bangkok-born pro claimed her third consecutive win on the LPGA Tour, winning the LPGA Volvik Championship by an impressive five strokes. The champion shot a 65-68-73-67 (273) 15-under par, and has now surged to the No. 2 on the Race to CME Globe ranking. The SteelFiber J-series is a private label iron shaft specifically developed for Aerotech Golf distributor and clubfitter Big Fish Golf of Singapore.

Meanwhile, SteelFiber shafts were also capturing large shares of Top 10 money on the PGA and Champions Tour. SteelFiber i95 shafts scored a T6 finish at the PGA Tour DEAN & DELUCA Invitational, and SteelFiber i110 shafts (3-iron and sand wedge) tied for third at the 77th Senior PGA Championship on the Champions Tour.

"Winning one tournament on any of the pro tours is an incredible accomplishment, so we are very excited to congratulate this week's LPGA Tour champion for her third straight tour victory with SteelFiber shafts," says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. "Week after week, we're seeing more SteelFiber graphite iron shafts in play on professional tours around the world, and the reason for its success is simple — SteelFiber shafts enhance player performance. "SteelFiber shafts incorporate high-modulus graphite and micro-thin steel fibers, a combination that allow players to increase yardage, reduce fatigue, and still maintain the stability and accuracy normally associated with steel shafts. SteelFiber's innovative technology is a game-changer."

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft's graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

In 2015, SteelFiber shafts delivered seven wins — three on the PGA Tour and two each on the Champions and LPGA Tours. The previous year was equally successful with SteelFiber chalking up five wins on the PGA TOUR and two more on the Champions Tour. Players with SteelFiber shafts routinely rank high on the PGA Money List, Official World Golf Rankings and the FedEx Cup Season Points. In 2013, for example, SteelFiber players ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points and ended overall as No. 3 and No. 5 on the PGA Money List.
