SteelFiber graphite iron shafts, designed and manufactured by Aerotech Golf, provided superior performance during this year’s five LPGA Majors and helped deliver the 2018 Rolex Annika Major Award.

The Rolex Annika Major Award was established in 2014 to recognize the player who, during a current LPGA Tour season, has the most outstanding Major Championship record. To be eligible, a player must win a Major Championship; and points are awarded to all players who finish in the top 10 and ties at all five Major Championships — ANA Inspiration, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, U.S. Women’s Open, Ricoh Women’s British Open and Evian Championship.

Playing SteelFiber J-series in her irons, this year’s Rolex Annika Major Award winner won the U.S. Women’s Open — her second career major championship victory — and scored ties for fourth place at the ANA Inspiration and the Ricoh Women’s British Open. She is also currently ranked No. 1 in the 2018 LPGA Money Title and No. 1 in the CME Race for the Globe Trophy, two honors that she previously won in 2016.

“We’re excited to be one of the very few shaft manufacturers in the world to have contributed to win for the FedEx Cup, CME Race for the Globe trophies and now the Rolex Annika Major Award,” said Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary. “SteelFiber shafts have proven themselves on professional tours around the world by providing unique and game-changing performance advantages. Unlike steel shafts which have basically remained unchanged for decades, SteelFiber innovative technology delivers stability and increases distance, while at the same time allowing players of all ages and skill levels to play their best for longer periods of time and finish strong.”

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

Aerotech Golf shafts are available as custom options with many nationally celebrated golf club manufacturers such as PXG, Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Cobra, Bridgestone Golf, Wilson, Cleveland Golf, Miura, Srixon, KZG and Nakashima Golf. Aerotech Golf shafts are also available through professional golf clubfitters around the world. Aerotech Golf is a proud supporter of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP) and the International Clubmakers Guild (ICG).
