SteelFiber graphite iron shafts, designed and manufactured by Aerotech Golf, delivered another winning weekend on the pro tours. SteelFiber won the WinstonGolf Senior Open in dramatic style and captured a share of the top money at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational.

Playing the new SteelFiber fc115 ‘Flight Control’ graphite iron shafts, the WinstonGolf Senior Open champion demonstrated an amazing come-from-behind win to claim his fifth European Senior Tour victory. He finished strong with a stunning final round of 63 to overcome a six-stroke deficit in the final round.

In addition to the win, SteelFiber grabbed a large share of the Top Three money, taking solo second-place and a T3 finish at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. All four players in the two-person teams played SteelFiber graphite iron shafts. Both the second-place team, consisting of two Tour-winning sisters from Thailand, and the T3 finishing team of well-known Australian and South Korean pros played a mix of SteelFiber i80 and the new SteelFiber h-series graphite iron shafts.

“Congratulations to the WinstonGolf Senior Open champion for an amazing come-from-behind win and to the teams playing at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitation,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. “SteelFiber shafts incorporate high-modulus graphite and micro-thin steel fibers, a one-of-a-kind combination that allow players to increase yardage, reduce fatigue, and still maintain the stability and accuracy normally associated with steel shafts. SteelFiber’s innovative technology has proven itself as a game-changer every week and on pro tours around the world.”

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through revolutionary composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

Aerotech Golf shafts are available as custom options with many nationally celebrated golf club manufacturers such as PXG, Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Cobra, Bridgestone Golf, Wilson, Cleveland Golf, Miura, Srixon, KZG and Nakashima Golf. Aerotech Golf shafts are also available through professional golf clubfitters around the world.
